The Targa Florio is one of the oldest and most famous Italian motor racing. The race was created by Vincenzo Florio in 1906. The scenaries of the race have always been the Sicilian roads expecially the narrow and winding ones. For this reason, the competition went immediately into the legend, because of the big difficulties involved in the track’s hardness. Among the official photographers of the event is present the Studio Photo Franco and Giusto Scafidi. Since 1924 it is one of the largest photographic archives in Sicily which has set in the collective memory the most significant images of Sicilian history: news, personalities, celebrities, champions and events of all kinds.
